FAQs

Got a question on our recruitment or way we work? Take a look below, we’ve tried to answer the most common questions that candidates have to make things a little easier for you.

I’ve been invited to an interview, what is the format?

We don’t like to focus too much on competency-based questions at whyaye. We like to keep things more informal to get to know you better. During the second stage we will dive into your skills, experience and technical knowledge (if relevant) a bit more but keep these questions open ended so you can answer as you see fit.

What is the interview process?

This is how we like to approach recruitment at whyaye:

  1. We look through every CV that we receive and if we think you’re a good fit, you’ll be invited to a first stage informal chat with our Recruitment Mob.
  2. If that goes well, you will be invited to second interview with two relevant mob members, who will dig more into your experience and discuss the role itself.
  3. In some cases, we would follow up with a final interview with two additional mob members to discuss finer details.
  4. We don’t like to keep people waiting so the Recruitment Mob will be in touch soon after.

What is the structure at whyaye?

We don’t believe in a traditional hierarchy and want to give our mob members the ability to choose the support that they need. We operate as a flat structure and have created a network mob framework as we trust our mob to deliver amazing things and give them the power to make that happen.

Will I need to travel a lot?

Depending on your role and our clients, there may be some travel needed occasionally. We don’t like being away from home regularly or for long periods of time so we wouldn’t expect our mob to either and try keep it to a minimum.

Do you offer flexible working?

We do yes and are happy to chat through your needs at any stage in the recruitment process.

I would love to work for whyaye but there are no open roles live at the moment, can I still apply?

We don’t like to string people along, as we would hate to be the perfect match at the wrong time. The best way to keep updated on our openings would be through our LinkedIn page or our website.
