Role overview:

Our Business Change Leads focus on managing the ‘people related’ change impacts of our projects and programmes, working with other whyaye team members and client representatives to plan and roll out comprehensive packages of business change interventions.

whyaye brings a comprehensive approach to business change management that is entirely complimentary to our overall implementation approach; the Business Change Lead will work with this, but recognising that every client has differences, will also have scope to adapt and tailor, based on environment and experience.

As a Business Change Lead, you will report to the Enterprise Change & Adoption Lead and will have a fantastic opportunity not only to undertake exciting client engagements, but to contribute to the overall direction and development of Enterprise Change & Adoption.

As an experienced Business Change & Adoption Lead you will: 

  • Lead the Business Change contributions/work-streams into our projects and programmes.
  • Define and develop approaches and plans to deliver the target packages of work (e.g., Change Strategies/Plans, Learning Plans, Communications approaches/plans).
  • Build effective relationships with client representatives; using your expertise in Business Change to positively impact engagements and manage stakeholders.
  • Collaborate with project and/or programme managers to ensure the Business Change plan is integrated into the overall programme plan, progress is effectively tracked, and risks, issues and dependencies are managed to ensure successful delivery.
  • As required, lead a team of Business Change consultants and potentially, client representatives ensuring work allocation and clarity of responsibilities is well managed across the Change team.
  • Coach and guide our Business Change Specialists and Analysts using your expertise and experience to create a vision and direction for the team.
  • Be able to own and shape & own your development plan.
  • Support whyaye initiatives as required and inform service and approach improvements.
  • Participate in knowledge share and good practice development, working with the rest of the whyaye team.

Desired experience and skills:

  • A proven track record of shaping, leading and delivering business change work-streams and projects, involving multi strand components of change (e.g., stakeholder analysis, communications planning and delivery, benefits management, change impact assessment and management, business readiness, learning and development).
  • Experience of delivering technology enabled change, preferably with ServiceNow or a ‘like’ similar suite of applications (e.g., IT Service Management, Customer Service Management, HR Service Delivery, IT Security Operations, etc).
  • Proven experience of applying your change skills in a project and/or programme environment, delivering to deadlines and milestones.
  • Evidence of team management and ability to manage different types/groups of stakeholders to build commitment and understanding.
  • Demonstrable evidence of delivering real and sustainable business outcomes.
  • It would be great if you had multi-sector experience (Financial Services, Telco, Retail, FMCG, Services) but not a prerequisite!
  • It would also be useful (but not essential) if you hold a formal change management training qualification / certification e.g., AGMP, PROSCI, BCS, CCMP.

  • A clear communicator with the confidence to engage at all levels, from customer change representatives to senior level exec sponsors.
  • Leading from the front, you’ll be able to build great relationships and create impact with first and last impressions.
  • You’ll understand there are always ‘naysayers’ and have experience of persuading and influencing, as well as taking on board genuine concerns.
  • Self-starting, able to work independently or as part of a team.
  • Passion and energy to deliver change.
  • Able to adapt and vary approaches, to suit client requirements and cultural considerations.
  • Our clients are UK based, so you’ll need to be flexible to travel as and when the work requires.
